Dr. Nicole R. Fram, M.D.
Dr. Nicole Fram is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a sub-specialty in corneal and external disease, ocular inflammation and refractive surgery. Dr. Fram received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she served as Chief Resident. Following her residency, Dr. Fram completed a one-year fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the Francis I. Proctor Foundation, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where her research interests included innovative corneal transplantation techniques. Dr. Fram is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and The Cornea Society.
Dr. Fram has an expertise in cataract surgery, anterior segment reconstruction, corneal and external disease, ocular inflammation and uveitis. She performs corneal transplantation procedures including traditional full thickness, penetrating keratoplasty and the novel partial thickness endothelial keratoplasty also known as Descemet's Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK).
